Curriculum

The New South Wales Board of Studies sets the syllabus for NSW schools. The schools adopt these as the core curriculum which encompass six key learning areas. These are:

 

English

Talking and Listening, Reading and Writing

 

Mathematics

Number, Measurement, Patterns and Algebra, Space and Geometry and Data

 

Science and Technology

Design and making, investigating and using technology for learning.

 

Creative Arts

Drama, music and visual arts and dance

 

Human Society and its Environment

Change and continuity, cultures, social systems and structures, and environments

 

 

 

Personal Development, Health, Physical Education
