There is still time if you wish to enter www.gearupgirl.com.au and we have registered a South Coogee Public School Team.
If you have registered online under South Coogee Public School and would like to wear a fiesta fun run t-shirt (which has our major sponsors on it and our P&C logo) could you please contact Lisa Darke to arrange a shirt you can borrow.
Good luck and we hope to see you out there.

Scholastic Book Club
On Friday 19th February at the Stage 2 and 3 assembly we had a visitor from Scholastic presenting the school with a certificate, as last year we earned approximately $4996- in FREE resources for our classrooms and Library from Scholastic. During 2009, in partnership with Scholastic, SCPS earned $2510 from Book Club and $2486 from Book Fairs, so we would like to say a big Thank You to you all for supporting us.
So far with Issue #1 we have earned $500 worth of books and resources for the Library and classrooms. Congratulations to those who have supported us already with Book Club.
Also, a big thank you to Corinne Joubert (Julan S1T, Marley S2B) for covering the Stage 1&2 Scholastic books we received from Issue 1. If anyone would also like to help cover Scholastic books, please contact Julie Kemp on 9345-0083.
Scholastic is giving away over 12,000 Lucky Tickets to students who purchase from Book Clubs. These tickets will be randomly inserted into books purchased from issues 2 to 4, and will be $5, $10 and $15 vouchers that can be redeemed on any Scholastic Book Club from Issue 2 to 6, 2010, so when you purchase a book check to see if you’ve won a Lucky Golden Ticket. We have 2 winners from Issue 1 – Roshan D (S1A) and Joe E (S3S).
Issue #2 has been issued to all students and orders must be back at school by Friday 12th March. Before handing in your order, can you please check that your child’s name and class is on the form, and the correct money in the envelope.
Thank you.
