Everyone at South Coogee Public was excited about bilbies last week. It was a 
pleasure to welcome two special guests: Peter Garrett and a bilby from Taronga Zoo.
Our school Minister for Environment, Peter P., welcomed the Federal Minister for Environment, Peter Garrett. The children were then treated to a talk by Mr Garrett about the plight of bilbies and what we can do to help their existence.
Later, some lucky students got to pat the special bilby from Taronga Zoo. Mr Garrett also presented the school with some lovely books about the Easter Bilby.
We wonder if the Easter Bilby will come this Sunday???
