The object of the South Coogee P and C is to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students into close cooperation. We do this by holding a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month during school terms, beginning at 7.00 pm and concluding by 9.00 pm. The Principal attends these meetings, often accompanied by a number of staff members. In addition, the Principal meets with the P&C Executive each week.

Research has shown that the vital ingredient of a student's learning is parental participation. Understanding school is necessary for success. Children cannot be expected to understand everything without help from their parents and carers. Parents cannot fully understand the great changes that have taken place in education in the last decade unless they see it in action and become involved in the formation of programs that will benefit all.

By joining the P and C parents can be involved with many aspects of school life.

Please come along and enjoy a cuppa, meet parents, help out with fundraising and working bees.
